This Privacy Policy explains how Bixi LTD ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the eDir mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). eDir is a mobile money exchange platform that enables users to transfer funds between USSD-based mobile wallets such as EVC Plus, eDahab, Zaad, Sahal, eBesa, Premier Wallet, and other supported providers in Somalia.
By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect the following types of information to provide and improve our Service:
Account Information: Full name, phone number, email address, and date of birth required during registration.
Identity Verification (KYC): Government-issued identification documents, photographs, and other documentation required to comply with regulatory obligations.
Transaction Data: Details of money exchange transactions including source wallet, destination wallet, amounts, timestamps, and transaction status.
Device & Usage Data: Device type, operating system, IP address, app version, pages visited, time spent, and crash reports.
Mobile Wallet Information: Phone numbers associated with your USSD wallets (EVC Plus, eDahab, Zaad, Sahal, eBesa, etc.) used for transactions.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To process and facilitate money exchange transactions between your USSD wallets
- To verify your identity and comply with KYC/AML regulations
- To communicate with you about your transactions, account updates, and customer support
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized transactions
- To improve our Service, develop new features, and enhance user experience
- To comply with legal obligations, including reporting requirements to the Central Bank of Somalia and Financial Reporting Center

Mobile Money Providers: We share necessary transaction details with wallet providers (Hormuud/EVC Plus, Somtel/eDahab, Telesom/Zaad, Golis/Sahal, etc.) to process your exchange transactions.
Financial Partners: Partner banks and financial institutions as required to facilitate transactions.
Regulatory Authorities: Government and regulatory bodies when required by law, including the Central Bank of Somalia and law enforcement agencies.
Service Providers: Third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform (hosting, analytics, customer support), bound by confidentiality agreements.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including:

If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes or enforcing our agreements.
